A quick guide to the art toy revolution
Released back in Feb.06 but not in my hands until last week (i'm really ontop of things) is MTV Underground 03, another guide to the up and coming designer toy culture.
Edited by leading producer STRANGEco, the book boasts over 300 designs in it's compact 6x7 inch frame. Designers range from common names such as Bigfoot, Jim Woodring, Unkl and Kozik to more obscure ones such as Marcel Dzama and his Monsters of Winnipeg Folklore series.
It's a pretty good introduction into the designer toy world, but personally i'd suggest tracking down a copy of Vinyl Will Kill as a starter. Though you really can't go wrong with either.
